Plein Air Georgia - It's HOT

Well, Georgia weather has turned hot, hot, hot and most plein air artists are seeking out that cooler early morning or late afternoon light. Even as the days heat up quicker, it's still fun to get out and paint. So... let's paint.

There is a small group of painters who will be painting around Pine Mountain, Georgia including some spots inside Callaway Gardens on June 15, 16, 23, 24 and 25. Anyone wishing to attend any of these days need only to send a message to pleinairga@yahoo.com before June 14 so arrangements can be made for entry into the gardens. This will be an informal event with no awards or opportunity for sales but still good for passing out business cards and making new friends. Mr. Cason's Vegetable Garden "Victory Garden South", is always great for painting and the magnolia trees are really showing off their best blooms right now. Some over night accommodations may be possible on certain days, so be sure to write if you think you might be able to come and would like to stay over night.
