Callaway Gardens Spring 2011

To all PAG members.  If you are interested in receiving an invitation to the 2nd annual Spring paint out at Callaway Gardens, please send a message to phyllisfranklin@hotmail.com  with your name, mailing address, and phone number. This is a juried by invitation only event similar to the one held in April 2010 and is a great opportunity to join other artists from all over. Callaway would like to have a good PAG presence for 2011.  No details are available so far as exact dates but should be announced sometime in November for the 2011 spring event, show and sale.  Also, they are planning a quick draw event that is not a juried event that all can participate in.  Get you name on the list so you can receive the information as it is released even if you don't plan to submit work for the jury process.  If you don't live in Georiga, but are a member of PAG... you should submit your name, address and phone number. You are PAG.

Not a member of PAG..... please join the "Ning" site or PAG on facebook.  That alone will make you a member.

UPDATE:  The Callaway invitations went out last week so sending a note to Phyllis is no longer an option to get an invitation.  They will, however, be putting more information on their web site, so continue to look for that.

Tunnel Hill Battle Paintout

We'll be painting both days at the annual "Battle of Tunnel Hill" --- and you're invited to join us!
Two tents are already set up for the artists - one is for display of artwork done onsite and the other is a base of operations.
There is no participation fee except for the $5 main gate entry.
The Tunnel Hill Historical Foundation has graciously allowed us to set up (FREE) - so we're asking each artist to make a donation to the THHF. This can be a percentage of any artwork sales or another amount determined by each artist.

Generations Gallery and Plein Air Georgia presents September 11th 2010 Paint Out... in The Village at Indian Springs. Early registration fee $15 if you register by Sept. 6th, $20 if after Sept. 6th. On that same day you might enjoy going into the park to participate in the Native American Festival  which will be held on September 11 and 12th.  This added attraction should prove to be great inspiration for painters, photographers, history buffs and just general good family fun.
