Memorial Day - Indian Springs Paint Out
GENERATIONS GALLERY and PLEIN AIR GEORGIA presents MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND PAINT OUT
En plein air is a French expression which means “in the open air”, and is used to describe paintings that have been created chiefly outdoors, rather than in the studio.
Sign-up and join fellow artists for a 1-day open air paint out at Indian Springs Village and Indian Springs State Park, Flovilla, GA. Centrally located in the state and convenient to I-75, the park and village offers the artist inspiration in the many natural settings throughout . Capture the light, colors, and energy of the, rolling hills, springs, creeks , whimsical and formal gardens, lake, wildlife native flora, and historical buildings. The many covered gazebos and shelters throughout are readily available for those who choose.
*All 2-dimensional mediums accepted. Artists will paint at any outdoor location within Indian Springs Village and State Park (no reference photographs. )
*Bring your painting supplies, an easel, chair (if needed) .
*Completed pieces must be turned in to Generations Gallery by 3:30 pm for an exhibition of completed pieces for public viewing and an optional silent auction.
*People’s Choice Award will be presented at the end of the day and decided by secret ballots cast by both participants and guests.
*The Paint Out is open to artists age 18 or over (or with written permission of legal guardian if under 18 years of age).
*The entry fee of $15 includes registration, refreshments, reception, with $5 going toward the People’s Choice Award, the dollar amount to be determined by the number of registered participants.
* Optional silent auction participation with 30% commission going to Generations Gallery.
Artists from all over Georgia are invited to join Plein Air Georgia and Generations Gallery for the Memorial Day Weekend Plein Air Paint Out. It promises to be a fun filled day and great opportunity to promote art.

Everyone had so much fun last year that we're doing it again. In August, professional and amateur artists will gather for 3 days of painting in the beautiful Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area at Island Ford and select sites along the Chattahoochee River in Roswell. You will find tranquility, inspiration and beauty for you and your work as you enjoy three days of on-site painting.

RULES & REGULATIONS:
Paintings for the juried show may include river scenes, landscapes, marshes, wildlife and wildflowers along the Chattahoochee River.
All paintings must be executed on site, out-of-doors, during the three days of August 11 - 13.
An unlimited number of pieces may be worked on during the contest dates, but only 2 pieces may be submitted for contest judging and exhibit.
Submitted pieces will be shown at a special reception on August 14.
Works may be in Oils, acrylics, pastels, and water media. No photography or non-paint media allowed.
