The gallery of the C. W. Pettigrew Farm and Community Life Center of the Fort Valley State University is looking for new artists. The center serves as a showplace for exhibiting art work of area and local artists. The Pettigrew Center features a hanging gallery which will accommodate twenty-two paintings, photographs, drawings or other print media. Pieces may be framed but wire is required for hanging.
Also available is a glass display case which is used for exhibiting fine arts pieces, educational works, craft items and other collections. Exhibitors are scheduled for the calendar month on a first call, first come basis.
The exhibits are free and open to the public. They are viewed during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. until 5::00 p.m. from Monday through Friday, and during special events nights and weekends.
For more information on exhibiting and scheduling your art, please contact Marie Peterman at (478) 825-6478 during regular business hours.
